Blue Ridge Christian Academy was Founded

Blue Ridge Christian Academy was founded in 2006 out of a desire to provide a Christ-centered school committed to the spiritual, moral, and intellectual formation of its students. The vision for Blue Ridge was to create a holistic approach to education whereby all children from vulnerable to gifted not only learn in the classrooms, but also learn how to transfer that learning to their everyday life.

Graduates

In 2018, the class of 10 graduates were accepted at more than 22 colleges and universities and received more than $850,000 in scholarships. In addition, Blue Ridge recognizes that not every student’s immediate destination following high school is college. This is why Blue Ridge places an equal importance on vocational and life skills learning as an integrated part of the curriculum and course offering. Graduates entering the workforce or military are recognized for their different work ethic. Through life skills and character development programs, Blue Ridge graduates learn how to respond to the expectations of independent, daily living.

Families who enroll their children at Blue Ridge Christian Academy come from Warren County, as well as six other surrounding and nearby counties. Some travel as far as 45 minutes one way just to have their child as a part of the Blue Ridge community. Students who attend Blue Ridge come from local public and private schools, as well as homeschooling, and from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. With enrollment just over 200, growth was capped in 2017 due to a lack of additional space, thereby limiting the number of students who can benefit from Blue Ridge Christian Academy’s unique approach to learning. Blue Ridge has wait lists for many grades with calls continuing to be received regarding potential enrollment availability.

The students, families, faculty, staff, and other constituents of Blue Ridge Christian Academy create a very strong community in which individuals can thrive and flourish to become the person who they are called to be.
